PRIDE on the road!

In a few days time, I am taking PRIDE on the road! I’ll be launching my newest book, PRIDE: CELEBRATING DIVERSITY AND COMMUNITY in both Toronto and Hamilton. If you are in one of those cities, please come out and celebrate with me! The launches are free events and everyone is welcome– kids, teens and adults. Here are the invitations…

The Toronto launch will be Sunday May 1, 1 pm, at Glad Day Bookshop on Yonge Street. Here’s the crazy part: the last time I was at Glad Day Bookshop I was in my late teens, and terrified someone I knew would see me IN A GAY BOOKSTORE. Who’d have predicted I’d be back more than twenty-five years later, launching a kids’ book about LGBTQ Pride?

I lived in the Hamilton area from when I emigrated from  England at age 7, until I was thirty or so. Lots of memories, and it’ll be great to see some old friends and some new faces. If you can join me, please do! The launch will be on Wednesday May 4, 6:30 pm, at 20 Education Court.

I’ll be speaking to some school groups and at a Toronto library, and I’m especially excited to be meeting with an LGBTQIA teen book club. And of course, I’ll be visiting with my brother, my sister-in-law, and my very adorable nephew, who live in Toronto– and fitting in some time at the museum and science center with my partner and son as well. Should be a great week!

And after that- off to Montreal! More about that later…
